In an interaction organised with RSS news portal subscribers on the eve of the 56th anniversary of RSS here on Friday, they said RSS should give attention to improving the time of delivery of news and its credibility.
Lauding the online feed of RSS news, the news portal journalists also called upon the RSS to change its conservative style of news headline and presentation. Political analysis and immediate release of news related to the government and its policies would be appreciated, they said.
Recommendations were also received to make RSS news content inclusive, resourceful, authentic and credible, and to increase the quality of its photo service. They suggested RSS to start video service, which would be beneficial especially for the news portals.
Making such recommendations during the interaction were editors and representatives from Onlinekhabar.com, Lokaantar.com, Janatasamachar.com, Ratopati.com, Kantipuronline, Annapurnapostonline, Pahilonews.com, Sthaniyakhabar.com, Nepalipatra.com and Nayapatrikaonline, among others.
Responding to the suggestions put forth by the participants, RSS Chairman Kul Chandra Wagle, Deputy General Manager Surendra Nepali, Editor-in-Chief Raju Shakya and Head of Administration Somnath Lamichhane pledged to take them into consideration and make improvements accordingly.
Among the 198 total subscribers of RSS service, 90 are news portals across the country.
