

7 Dec, Kathmandu-: A two-day Gurukul Conference has begun here today with the objective of contributing to build peaceful and prosperous society.
The conference is to serve the objective by ending social insecurity, violence and poverty propping up due to growing stress, negativity, pollution, inter-country enmity, arrogance and violation of natural rule.
Maharshi Foundation, which was established for building peace in the globe via individual and nation through the medium of Yoga, meditation and Vedic functions, organized the conference.
The conference is being participated in by the representatives of 42 Guukul of six provinces excluding province 1.
Global Vedic campaigner Maharshi Mahesh Yogi had spearheaded the campaign in collaboration with the experts and explorers of the eastern philosophy through Yoga, transcendental meditation and functions.
Various dignitaries including Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Sanskrit University Dr Kul Prasad Koirala, former minister of state for home affairs and Foundation Chair Deepak Prakash Baskota, International Director of Global Maharshi Campaign for Nepal Raja Kingsle Books, former administrator of Kathmandu University Mukunda Sharma and Prof Nawaraj Kattel highlighted the importance of Gurukul.
A Gurukul is a type of education system in eastern philosophy with students living with the guru in the same house for knowledge purpose.
