21 Jan, Parasi – Chairperson of Shanti Abhiyan Nepal Nawalparasi, Anup Neupane was honoured by the Bangladesh government with ‘International Youth and Peace Award-2018’.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh conferred the honour on Anip, 22, of Nepal in recognition of his contribution to the youth development and peace-building sectors.
Likewise, general-secretary of the same organization Linda Kalamagar and Executive Member Siraj Pariyar were also honoured with same award.
Meanwhile, another Bangladeshi organization ‘Society for Environment and Development Observers’ honoured Gaurab Gaire and Sabeena Sunar of Sunawal based in western Nawalparasi with ‘International Peace Award’.
Neupane has been involved in imparting a message of Nepal’s peace process to South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Bangladesh, among other countries.
He got a good opportunity to deliver presentations at various programmes on peace building process and situation aftermath.
