23 Jan,Gorkha – Lawmaker of the Gandaki Province Assembly, Prakash Chandra Dawadi, has spent all his salary that he draws as the lawmaker for the development of his constituency.
He provided Rs 730 thousand 315, the salary he received so far since taking oath as the province parliamentarian, in the social sector in his constituency – Gorkha district constituency-2 (B). Dawadi was elected on a Nepali Congress ticket.
The amount has been spent on road construction, purchasing an ambulance and constructing office buildings for various women’s groups. He has also provided the salary for operating three schools.
Speaking in a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union Gorkha here today, province lawmaker Dawadi shared that besides his salary, he provided additional Rs 490 thousand 905 from his pocket for carrying out various projects in his constituency, taking the total amount to Rs 1 million 221 thousand 220 in a year.
He announced on the occasion that apart from his salary he would spend at least five per cent of the earning from his business in social service sector.
