31 jan, Kathmandu- Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has urged the government to address the demands raised by Dr Govinda KC, and thereby save his life.
Talking to media persons after meeting Dr KC at the TU Teaching Hospital where he is staging his 16th fast-unto-death, Karki said the government needs to consider seriously the issues raised by Dr KC for reforms in the medical education sector.
Today’s is the 22nd day of the fast-unto-death of Dr KC and his condition is reported to be serious, according to doctors attending on him.
Meanwhile, the Nepal Medical Association has been staging a relay hunger strike, expressing its solidarity with the demands raised by Dr KC.
Also tusday, issuing a statement on behalf of the Professionals Association, Chairperson of the Democratic Thought Society Dr Kedar Narsingh KC has urged the government to save the life of Dr KC.
