31 Jan, ADDIS ABABA – More than 130 migrants have gone missing after two migrant boats capsized off the coast of Djibouti, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Wednesday.
In a press statement, the IOM said the two boats sank off Godoria, a locality in the Obock region of northeast Djibouti on Tuesday morning, shortly after setting off in the Red Sea.
The IOM said so far it has rescued two migrants and recovered the bodies of three women and two men.
Search operations are still going on to recover the bodies of the missing migrants. The IOM didn’t specify the nationality of the migrants.
