21 April :  On April 20, 2019 afternoon an event was organized at the office of GP Koirala Foundation America by a group of students from New York University headed by Ms. Priyanka Thapa in coordination with GP Koirala Foundation America from 4:00PM to 5:30PM.

Ms. Thapa is also the President of HANDINHAND, an organization of NYU, and is also a graduate student of Clinical Social Work there. Ms.Thapa is also interested in helping the Nepali & other communities’ members about early intervention of childhood development. This event was especially targeted to aid parents/caregivers in their quest to learn about age-appropriate toys and books for  in between the age group from one month to five years old and provide them a venting space.

Dr. Pallavi Patel, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, trained and provided orientation to fifteen parents with their kids,who participated in this event. Somnath Ghimire, President of the GP Koirala Foundation America, welcomed everyone in the office.
