June 7, Kailali – Foundation stone for 51-bed community hospital has been laid at Lamkichuha municipality-10, on Thursday.

Laying the stone foundation for the hospital, member of House of Representatives, Jhapat Rawal said that locals of Lamkichuha municipality, Bardagoriya and Mohanyal rural municipalities would be benefitted after the construction of the hospital as locals of these areas have been compelled to go out of the district even for general health check up.

The hospital is going to be constructed after Mayor of Lamkichuha municipality, Mahadev Bajgain, decided to spend Rs 7.5 million, allocated to buy vehicle for the municipality, for hospital construction. The another meeting of the municipality also decided to provide additional Rs 1.5 million for the same.

Similarly, HoR member Rawal also allocated Rs 11 million from Constituency Development Fund and member of Sudurpaschim state assembly, Nanda Bahadur Saud, allocated Rs 11.3 from Infrastructure Development Fund for this purpose.

The estimated cost of the hospital is Rs 320 million and a target has been set to complete the hospital construction within two years. The Rastriya Naba Jagrit Secondary School provided more than five bighas of land free of cost for the same.
