All preparations have been completed for the three-day gathering, said NECSEA member Gagan Bahadur BK. A 251-member main management committee coordinated by NECSEA vice chairman Man Bahadur Bista has been formed for the convention while a 15-member sub-panel is there to assist the main committee, he said.
The convention taking place with the slogan ‘trade union; our campaign along with good governance, social security, labour dignity and political rights in federalism’ will pick a new 99-member executive committee for the next three years.
The total 10 vice chairpersons will be elected for the new working committee. Likewise, it will also choose one general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, five secretaries and one treasurer and a co-treasurer. .
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the convention while approximately 40,000 government employees are expected to take part. RSS
