The poems are edited and translated by poet, Yuyutsu RD Sharma. The edition will include 35 poems and artworks.

Evoking the spirit of new Nepal and resonating the themes love, war and hunger, the folio will feature works from older generation poets as Gopal Prasad Rimal, Krishna Bhakta Shrestha, Bhupi Sherchan, Bimal Nibha, Shailendra Sakar, Purna Viram, Shyamal, Hari Adhikary, Yuyutsu Sharma along with younger generation poets Shyam Rimal, Buddhi Sagar Chepain, Chunky Shrestha, Padma Gautam, Keshab Silwal, Arun Buthathoki and Pramod Snehi. The online literary portal also features art works of Shashi Shah, Hari Khadka, Ragni Upadhyaya, Kiran Manandhar and Niresh Sainju.

The issue features Yuyutsu Sharma’s exhaustive introduction ‘A quiet space for poetry in Nepal,’ which outlines the history of Nepali poetry and its current scenario and the contribution of Nepali poets in political transformation.

Sharma shared that in the republican Nepal additional challenges have fallen over poets’ role and their positions. Translator Sharma added that the future of Nepali poets has been rendered uncertain in the new scenario.

The literary giant is also planning to bring out the issue in the format of a book with some additional renderings from Sharma and a special section on Nepali women poets.
