30 April, Pokhara- Nepal’s first international Skating Training Centre has been built within the premises of the Pokhara Stadium.
The Centre was built at a cost of Rs 3 million at the initiative of Western Regional Sport Development Committee, said Khagaraj Poudel, Committee’s Regional Chair. The construction was completed in three weeks.
It is believed that the operation of the new skating training centre would produce skating athletes that will represent Nepal in the Olympic Games.
Foreigners from the US, France, Belgium, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Canada and India gave their labour donations to construct the skating infrastructure considered the best in South Asia.
