5 May, Kathmandu-Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has said that the Supreme Court’s decision in regard to Chief Justice Sushila Karki was not pleasant.
On query of journalists on apex court decision, Karki, also the Spokesperson of the government, said, “This is in no way be pleasant but the government has not made any official view in this connection”.
Minister Karki expressed grief that the Supreme Court’s decision on the issue that is under consideration at the Legislature-Parliament would likely to escalate conflict among the executive, legislature and judiciary.
Chief Justice Karki was suspended with the registration of impeachment motion against her at the parliament.
A single bench of Justice Cholednra Shumsher JB Rana on Friday had issued interim order allowing Karki to resume her job from today keeping the impeachment motion registered at the parliament on hold.
