May 10, Kathmandu: The quake survivors are now getting information about the reconstruction activities through the mobile apps.
The audiovisual information related to the post-quake reconstruction as earthquake resistant building, statistics of carpenter recognized by the government for reconstruction works, rules to be followed to get government grant, technical advice, quality construction materials and safety about construction site have been included in the apps developed by the Build Changed Nepal, an international organization, working in Nepal after the earthquake.
Releasing the mobile apps today, Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction Authority, Prof Dr Govinda Raj Pokharel, admitted that post quake reconstruction has not gained pace as expected. “Post earthquake reconstruction task has been prolonged for lack of capable and skilled human resources in the country,” he argued.
Pokharel expressed the belief that the NRA would get help in reconstruction task after local-level election.
Likewise, Country Director of the Build Changed Nepal, Noll Thufani, expressed commitment of support in reconstruction task in the days ahead. RSS
