23 Sept, Nawalparasi : The folks of Triveni area have been facing trouble every year with no outlet of water flowing through the Mahabharat-Chure ranges of mountains.

The lack of drainage has put the local people in trouble but no authorities have heed to our voices despite demands for alternative arrangements for the same, said local stakeholders.
As many as 2,000 households of Triveni have been directly affected every year for no systematic outlet of water flowing through Chure.
Prem Chandra Rauniyar, a local of Triveni, shared that the local folks have been hit hard every year when there is no drainage of water due to the construction of Nepali Canal and Indian Gandak canal as part of the Gandak Agreement.
The floods snowballed from Mahabharat and Chure ranges every year are flowing through the threshold of the houses of local people.
The rivulet victims have stepped up preparation for developing disaster resilient community in the Triveni area within 10 years. It is as part of their campaign to remain safe from the disaster such as floods in Triveni area.
