30 Oct, Nepalgunj : Police here have confiscated large quantity of electronic appliances and machines which were brought by evading customs.

A team from the Federal Police Unit Office, Nepalgunj seized electronic machines, machinery parts and a truck bearing the Indian number plate – UP 35 T7307. The confiscated goods include hydraulic machine, hand grater, lathe machine, hydraulic cutter, welding machine and DCM, worth Rs 3 million, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mahesh Bikram Shah said.

Truck driver Birendra Kumar Pal, 24, and his helper Narendra, 28, both of Unnau Gram Thana, Safipur, India, have been taken into custody for further investigation, according to police.
