 Nov 10,Solukhumbu (RSS): The cadres of the leftist alliance and the Nepali Congress have clashed in Sotang today, leaving two persons injured.
Those injured in the clash are Ghanshyam Nepali of the leftist alliance and Pema Tamang, the Nepali Congress district treasurer, police said. Nepali is undergoing treatment at the primary health centre at Sotang while Tamang has been taken to Kathmandu by helicopter for medication.
The leftist alliance had organized an election rally at Sotang bazar as prescheduled. The clash ensued after a fracas broke out between the cadres of the left alliance and the NC in course of preparing for the programme.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Resham Bahadur Parajuli said that police reinforcement unit has been sent to the incident site taking into account the security sensitivities.
