17 Jan,Nepalgunj : Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki today reiterated that all three levels of the elections—local, provincial and central—would be held.
“It is not relevant to cast doubt on the elections as all political parties are prepared for them,” said Karki, also government’s spokesperson, while speaking at a press conference organised by Press Centre, Banke at Banke airport.
Saying the constitution amendment proposal is a different issue and that does not affect the polls, he said the government would find a consensus path by addressing all political issues in agreement with all political parties.
“The ruling and opposition parties are an ornament of democracy. There is fear only when there are no differences between them. Differences will further refine and strengthen democracy,” he said.
Meanwhile, minister Karki inspected the regional offices of Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Nepal Telecom and the District Post Office in Banke today.
On the occasion, Karki was apprised of functioning and progress of the offices of RSS, NTC and DPO by RSS regional office chief Niraj Gautam, NTC regional office chief Indal Yadav and DPO chief Pushpa Raj Shrestha respectively.
RSS General Manager Nirmala Acharya also joined the inspection team.
Also on the occasion, Karki informed that homework was being carried out to manage necessary employees and equipments to resume the long-stalled regional transmission centre of Nepal Television. RSS
