Kathmandu. A security guard has been found dead at the newly-constructed building of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) today. PADT employees cleaning the office found the security guard Dhan Bahadur Rana hanging in the office premises.

The employees informed the Gaushala Police Office about the incident, PADT spokesperson Rewati Raman Adhikari said. Rana had been transferred to security unit from the gardening section, PADT stated.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Babu Khadka said Rana was found dead and hanging when police reached the site and the body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for post-mortem examination.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, Khadka said. Rana was found hanging in the building constructed for housing the PADT Board members’ offices.
