March 14, Kathmandu (RSS): A 10-day high-level national security training organized by Ministry of Defence and Nepal Army (NA) concluded on Wednesday.
The training attended by high-ranking government officials focused on the issues related to financial and food crisis, corruption, cyber crime, climate change, economic exploitation of natural resource, unemployment oriented educational policy and its repercussions, shared the Nepal Army.
Likewise, the recommendations were provided in the areas of deficit governance, ethnic, regional, religious and gender discrimination, cross-border criminal activities due to open border, rapid migration and unequal consumption of water, land and energy and potential emergence of national crisis.
Drawing a conclusion that national security could be consolidated with support and cooperation from Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police along with entire civil service employees, mass media, civil society and entire Nepali citizens, the training drew the attention of the government to chart out security strategy policy accordingly.
Defence Minister Iswor Pokharel concluded the training and gave away certificates to the 25 participants including officials from all the security agencies, various ministries, government media RSS and Radio Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank and others. Present on the occasion were Army Chief Rajendra Chhetri, government secretaries, chiefs of Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and National Investigation Department, intellectuals, RSS General Manager Opendra Sharma and Radio Nepal Executive Director Suresh Kumar Karki.
