5 august, Kathmandu: The price of gold in Nepal has set a historic record. The price of gold rose by Rs 1,600 in one day and reached over one lakh per tola on Wednesday. It had traded at Rs 99,800 per ounce on Tuesday.
The Federation of Nepali Gold and Silver Dealers’s Association have stated that the price of gold in circulation for Wednesday has been fixed at one lakh one thousand four hundred. The price of gold growth by Rs 1,535 to Rs 1,900 per tola on Wednesday.
According to the federation, the rising price of gold in the international market has not stopped and it is estimated that it may rise further in Nepal as well. Nepal’s gold price has been rising for several months.
The price of silver has risen by Rs 65 to Rs 1,295 today. Earlier, silver was trading at Rs 1,230 on Tuesday.
