The construction of a 50-bed ayurdved hospital in Rajpur has not begun yet due to unwillingness to grant the tenancy right of a piece of land selected for the hospital construction by the Department of Forests.
A huge budget being released for the construction of the hospital every year has remained unspent, said Chhatraraj Joshi, vice chair of a committee formed to facilitate the construction works.
The construction of an ayurvd hospital in Rajpur is expected to be beneficial for the people of entire far–western region.
Though the Area Forest Office, Geta long ago recommended the Department for granting the tenancy right, the Department has not yet implemented the recommendation, hindering the construction works, Joshi added.
Health Minister Gangan Thapa and Minister of State for Forest Dirgha Raj Bhatta recently visited the site with the pledges to resume the construction very soon.
The foundation stone for the construction of the hospital building was laid few years ago.
