MONTREAL- The Canadian economy grew by 3.1 percent in the first quarter at an annual rate, in a third consecutive quarterly increase, according to figures released Tuesday by the government statistical agency.
The growth came in below analysts’ expectations and was mainly due to higher business investment and household consumption. (AFP
