1 May, Kathmandu- The Federal Socialist Forum Nepal has said that the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Sushila Karki was a planned attack on constitutional supremacy and the rule of law.

Issuing a press release today, FSF Chairman Upendra Yadav said that the impeachment motion against CJ Karki registered by the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) was control of the government upon the independent judiciary and direct interference on judicial freedom of the Supreme Court.

The press release states that influencing the independent judiciary by misusing the power for personal and partisan interest by some people remaining in the power was undemocratic character and behaviour.

The party also demanded to respect the judicial freedom by withdrawing the motion immediately.
