Parbat, Nepal -The Rajendra Anjana Foundation, in partnership with ARC for Nepal, is proud to announce the launch of a transformative initiative to construct a residential home Samsara Ghar, for orphaned, underprivileged, and marginalized children in Paiyun, Parbat District of Nepal.
This ambitious project aims to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for up to 50 children from various districts of Nepal, with priority given to orphans. Samsara Ghar currently has 10 children, including Chepang, Kumal & minority & underprivileged communities The facility is designed to provide shelter and access to academic and vocational education, equipping children with the skills and knowledge to build a brighter future. In line with modern learning needs, each child will be provided with a personal laptop, based on their interest and learning capabilities, to enhance their educational experience.
The residential house will also feature:
- Separate accommodations for international volunteers,
- Dedicated hostels for children,
- A fully-equipped library and computer lab, and
- An on-site organic farm with cows, buffalo, goats, and chickens to provide fresh and nutritious food for the children.
Furthermore, the Foundation is committed to supporting students beyond high school, offering free higher education up to a bachelor’s degree for those who wish to pursue a degree at a local college in Nepal. “This initiative is not just about providing shelter,” said Guanendra Shrestha, Managing Director of the Foundation, “It’s about creating a foundation for growth, dignity, and opportunity for children who have faced incredible adversity.”
The Rajendra Anjana Foundation and ARC for Nepal collaborate with organizations such as the Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary Club (Fair Lawn, NJ) and other like-minded Rotary Clubs and partners. The project is expected to be completed within two years.
