8 June, Kathmandu-Newly appointed Home Minister Janardan Sharma has said that required policy would be formulated and the organisation would be restructured to resolve the problems facing the security agencies in the country.
Directing the employees after assuming his office on Wednesday, Home Minister Sharma said, “I will utilize your honesty to the people’s service. I will not let discrimination in implementation of government’s policy and plan. Violation of discipline as well as playing ‘games’ within the Home Ministry, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department for political purpose will not be tolerated.”
He clarified that chain of command of security agencies would be made strict as well as the trend of unnecessary publicity and interviews would be stopped.
Home Minister Sharma said, “Nepal Police and Armed Police Force will be as wanted by people. National Investigation Department will be as wanted by the country. The National Investigation Department will be necessary restructured.”
He also expressed determination that the plan related to change and reforms of the Ministry and its subordinate bodies would be released within few days.
On the occasion, Home Minister Sharma directed the Home Ministry, security bodies and all employees to hold second round of local-level election in peaceful, fair and successful manner.
