27 July, Bhojpur-Local people at Arun rural municipality in Bhojpur have become agitated over the delay in the investigation into an incident wherein three children were found dead under suspicious circumstances in the locality.
Three children – 14-year-old Ranjit, son of local resident Rabindra Sapkota, 13-year-old Sushma, daughter of Chetnath Phuyal and eight-year-old Pradip Phyual–were found dead floating in a pond at Mayangdanda on June 26.
Earlier, the locals also disrupted transportation on Saturday and forced all government offices at Arun rural municipality to shut, pressing the authority to prompt the investigation and bring the guilty to justice at the earliest.
The protesters have demanded compensation to the victim’s family and action against the guilty.
Police however said they are speeding up the investigation.
