23 Oct,Kathamandu: The Legislature-Parliament has finally fixed the date for holding discussions on a motion of impeachment registered against Chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki. The House is holding discussions on the motion on coming October 25.
At a meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today, Speaker Onsari Gharti informed lawmakers that the Parliament shall meet at 15:00 pm of October 25 to discuss the impeachment motion filed by 157 lawmakers from the main opposition CPN (UML) and the major ruling party CPN (Maoist Centre) against the CIAA Chief few days back.
The motion was registered at the Parliament Secretariat last Wednesday in accordance with the Article 101 (2) of the Nepal’s Constitution and Rule 138 (1) of the Legislature-Parliament regulations. The CIAA Chief has been of accused of violating the office code of conducts. RSS
