May 22. The coronavirus death toll in the United States – the country with the most fatalities in the pandemic -has climbed by 1,418 in the past 24 hours to reach 96,354, the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University.
The US, the worst-hit country in the world, now has 1,620,902 confirmed cases of coronavirus, up 28,179 from the previous day.
