22 jun, Kathmandu . WFTU coordination committee organiszed prees meet   and   solidarity  programme for the movement of working  class  of USA ,on 19 th June,2020 kathmandu. In the   solidarity programme  WFTU  affiliate  Unions CONEP,NEFON,  NTUF, ANTUC. REFONT, DEFONT,DECONT, ANTRUF and PICONT

and TUIs affiliated leaders     also participated.

In the press meeting trade unions leaders  addressed  the situation of  workers in the Covid 19 Pandemic lockdown period . Cde. Premal kumar khanal,member  of presidential  council  member  of WFTU chaired  the press meet programme and cde Mohan man swar member of FC member  of WFTU  also addressed  the  press meeting .

Before the  press meet and solidarity  programme the delegation  of  WFTU Co-ordination committee met  the Labourers,Employment and Social security  Minister Hon. Rameshor Raya Yadav and handed  the  7 Points attention  letter to Prime minster through  labor  minister .In  the letter  WFTU -coordination  committee demands Firstly ,government  should  immediate provide  package  to  daily  wages workers  those  are affected by lockdown of covid-19 .Secondly ,government  should  immediately form  100 billions  employment  fund for unemployment workers  and those who are laid off in the lockdown of covid -19.

Thirdly,government  should take  effective  intiation to care of migrants workers  talk with recipient  countrys government , for equal treatment  to migrant workers  according  to international  convention  of migrant workers right in this pandemic situation and government  should   appeal  to  UN,ILO,FAO as a  member  of these organization ,   declare  and  launch  the stimulus package   programme for    least  devlopment countries   workers  affected by pandemic of covid-19.

Fourthly,government  should  effective  implement    WHO  and  ILO  OHS measures   in  every working  place  for safety against covid-19.

Fifth,government  should  control  price hike and  effective supply   management  of  daily   food items . Sixth, government  should  extent lab testing for PCR in  every  district for the possible transmission .Similarly,government  should  strengthen  of PEs especially Agriculture ,Dairy ,Food  supply and medicine  industry  in this pandemic situation  for effective and ,easily access of delivery service  for grass  root level people.
