SHANGHAI- By Saturday, more than 11,000 people in Shanghai, including COVID-19 patients, asymptomatic carriers, and their close contacts, had been discharged from the hospital or released from medical observation, said local authorities on Sunday.
They may return home freely and continue health monitoring at home, said the municipal health commission.
The city will carry out more rounds of all-inclusive nucleic acid tests and implement relevant COVID-19 prevention and control measures according to the different risk grades of its subordinate areas.
Shanghai has also updated a “nucleic acid code” to facilitate its screening work. The code can be used repeatedly without connection to the network and be presented by screenshots. Family members can apply for the code on behalf of their children and the elderly. Foreigners can register for nucleic acid testing on-site using their passports or apply for the code online.(Xinhua)
