29 Nov, Chitwan-Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation has underlined the need of warding off risk of human-wildlife conflict.
In his address to an election assembly held at Govindabasti of Madi today, he underlined the need of taking measures to prevent the wildlife in the Chitwan National Park from entering the human settlements. Pandey who is the election candidate for the federal election from the Chitwan- 3 from the Nepali Congress-led democratic alliance said, “Human-wildlife conflict has caused impact on the wildlife conservation.”
He pledged to end the risk of human-wildlife conflict if he got an opportunity to serve the people of the constituency as their representative in the center. On the occasion, he took the time to express his commitments to developing Madi into a touristic city.
“Madi is rich in natural resources and utilisation of such property is a must,” he said, stating that he had physical infrastructure development plan for Madi that includes blacktopping of dirt roads, embankment construction to the local Riu River and construction of a ring road in the city.
