23 Feb, Ratnanagar, Chitwan : The name and address of the people killed and injured in a road accident that occurred on Thursday at Ghumaune on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section have been ascertained.
A truck with Indian number plate (BR 32 BN 3109) had fallen 50 metres from the road after overturning due to imbalance while trying to overtake another vehicle. The accident occurred at 3.50 am. The truck was heading towards Kathmandu from Sunauli.
The District Police Office, Chitwan said the person who died in the accident is identified as 50-year-old Bikram Singh of Belahiya-1, Rupandehi district. He is the helper in the truck. Similarly, police said those sustaining serious injuries in the accident are the truck driver, 24-year-old Bipin Sen of Lucknow, India and 31-year-old Arjun Agrahari of Belahiya-1, Rupandehi who was travelling in the truck. They are receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
