2 oct, Hetauda-The Hetauda – Kulekhani road stretch along the Madan Bhandari Highway has been blocked after a landslide struck the Sukaunda hill at Kulekhani – 8.
The transportation service from Hetauda – Kulekhani to Kathmandu remained obstructed from early in the morning. The vehicles have been diverted to the Tribhuvan Highway, District Police Office (DPO), Makawanpur said.
Around 850 vehicles including sumo jeeps and micro buses ply the road to and from Kathmandu to Chandranigapur and Birgunj on a daily basis, District Traffic Office, Makawanpur said.
If the weather permits we will clear the landslide debris and hopefully transportation will resume in the afternoon, Chief District Officer, Dr Man Bahadur Bishwokarma told the National News Agency (RSS). RSS
