26 Jan. Bharatpur-A person was killed and five others were injured in separate accidents in Chitwan. Cancer patient Rajisara Thapa Magar of Ricing rural municipality-5, Tanahu died following the accident happened on Friday evening. A truck(Na 6 Kha 7044) en route to Muglin from Narayangadh hit an ambulance (Ga 2 Cha 8962)coming to Bharatpur from Tanahu, carrying the 62-year-old cancer patient at Ghumaune along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section. He died amidst the treatment at the Chitwan Medical College. Others four including the drivers of both vehicles have been injured and the three are being treated at the Chitwan Medical College while the truck driver is undergoing treatment at Muglin-based medical hall.
Similarly, Bishweshwor Ghimire, 40, of Bharatpur municipality-7 was severely injured after a car hit his motorcycle at Tehrasal Chowk, the District Police Office Chitwan confirmed. He is receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College. Police have arrested the car and its driver and further investigations are underway.—
