29 Oct,Janakpurdham: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bimalendra Nidhi, today took stock of the preparations being made in Janakpur for the upcoming visit of Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee.
Home Minister Nidhi spoke with Janaki temple’s Priest, Ramatpeshworlal Das, and assistant priest, Ram Roshan Das, and Chief District Officer (CDO), Dillip Kumar Chapagain, and inquired into preparations for the Indian President’s worship ceremony at the temple, the civic reception and the security plan.
Speaking briefly to journalists, Minister Nidhi expressed belief that the Indian President Mukherjee’s visit would help broaden the smooth relations between the two countries. The cultural, religious and geographical relations between Nepal and India are in the people’s level, Minister Nidhi said, adding that the visit would create positive impacts on all sectors.
Minister Nidhi noted that former Indian presidents, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy and Giani Zail Singh have already visited Janakpur before and added that it was matter of good fate that Janakpur residents now have the opportunity to witness Indian President Mukherjee’s visit.
The India President will pay homage to Janaki temple on November 4 and attend a civic reception at Tirahutiya Gachi to be organized by Janakpur Sub Metropolis.
Minister for Local Development Hitraj Pandey along with Indian Consul General Anju Ranjan and top security officials were present on the occasion. RSS
