30 Nov ,Palpa: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) senior leader Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani has cautioned that the country would fall into crisis if the three-tier elections are not held within the stipulated time.
He stressed on the urgent need of holding the local, province and parliamentary elections for the full and effective enforcement of the constitution.
Addressing a press meet held by the RPP, Palpa in Tansen today, leader Lohani said the local body election was imperative to make the local bodies accountable to the people. He warned that a big crisis would befall the country if the province and parliamentary elections are not held.
Also an economist, Dr Lohani said the hilly districts of Province No 5 should not be separated from the Madhes even from the political, economic and geographical viewpoint. “Whose demand is it to separate the province when the people of the province from the hills and the Madhes have not,” he wondered.
He said that it was against the nation, nationality and the desire and interest of the people to separate the hilly districts from the Province No 5 and merge them in other province. RSS
