17, Jan kathamandu . The “3^rd Bangladesh Expo-2017” single country trade fair was inaugurated today by Mr. Deepak Bohara, Minister for Supplies of Nepal and Ms. Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal. The Expo is being held at Bhrukutimandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu and will run from 17-21 January 2017 (4-8 Magh 2073).

The Expo is showcasing products of entrepreneurs and renowned business houses from Bangladesh including Building and construction materials, Ready Made Garments, Plastic products, Cosmetics, Ceramics/tiles, Jute and jute products, Leather products, Textiles, Footwear, Electronics items, Handicrafts, generators/machineries, Processed food, IT Solutions, Education Institutions, Consumer products, Batteries, Cement, Bathroom Fittings, Motor Cycle, Home Appliance, Jewelry etc. Selected Nepalese exporters have also been invited to showcase their products at the Expo with a view to promoting Nepalese exports to Bangladesh. it is expected that the Expo will create a platform for exchange of information and ideas and provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the two countries to explore B-2-B linkages for harnessing the available synergies in the areas of trade and business for mutual benefit.

The inaugural programme was also attended by Mr. Naindra Prasad Upadhaya, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce of Nepal, Mr. Hari Bhakti Sharma, President, CNI, Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, President, NCC and Ms. Bhawani Rana, Senior Vice President, FNCCI as Special Guests.

The Expo will be open from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm every day.
