FNJ demands increased amount of public welfare advertisement



Aug 25,Kathmandu : The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has demanded the government that it increased the amount of ‘Public Welfare Advertisement’.
The first meeting of the newly elected working committee of the FNJ made such demand reasoning that the proportional advertisement policy was yet to be introduced, said FNJ General Secretary, Ramesh Bista.
The government is also asked to provide public welfare advertisement to all types of media house. Similarly, the media houses are urged to fully implement the Working Journalist’s Act by providing appointment letter and the minimum wages to the working journalists.
The FNJ also decided to make the welfare fund of FNJ of Rs 50 million within three years. Similarly, the meeting also decided to give continuity to the campaign launched by FNJ for the democracy, human rights, press freedom and welfare of people. RSS
