13 Dec, Dhangadhi, Kailali : CPN (UML)’s Jhapat Bahadur Rawal representing the left alliance won a Kailali constituency 2 seat in Parliament. Rawal secured 25,157 votes, while his nearest rival Nepali Congress’s Mohan Singh Rathaur 23,313 votes.
Likewise, UML’s Ratan Thapa claimed a Kailali 2 (A) Provincial Assembly seat by defeating his nearest rival NC’s Him Bahadur Rawal. Thapa got 13,632 votes, while Rawal 11,565 votes.
Likewise, the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Nanda Bahadur Saud won a Kailali 2 (B) Provincial Assembly seat with 12,077 votes. His closest competitor NC’s Arun Kumar Chaudhary got 11,232 votes.
