19 Oct, Chitwan-A passanger died; nine other sustained critical injuries and one went missing when a commuter bus (Lu. 1 Kha. 7391) heading towards Bhairahawa from Kathmandu plunged into the Trishuli River at Dahakhani VDC-6 along the Narayangarh-Muglin road section on Tuesday evening.
According to Police inspector at the Area Police Office Muglin Yogendra Bahadur Hamal, the seriously injured have been sent to Bharatpur for treatment.
Police further shared that an unidentified person aged around 32 had breathed his last on the way to Bharatpur.
Eight among the injured were rushed to College of Medical Science, Bharatpur and one was sent to Kathmandu for further treatment last night, police informed.
It is learnt that some 11 persons including a driver and a helper were travelling in the bus. One is still missing.
Meanwhile, an adolescent girl died when an unidentified vehicle hit her at Chandibhanjyang-6, Kalikhola along the Narayangarch-Muglin road section at around 1.15 this morning.
Aged around 18, the deceased is yet to be identified and search for the vehicle is underway, police informed. RSS
