28 Sept, Kathmandu – The Indian Newspaper Association has conferred the ‘Kalam ke Sipahi’ award on journalist and media industrialist Shambhu Pokharel.
Pokharel is the chairman of the World Trade Group and the executive chairman of Business Television. He was selected for the award in recognition of the contributions he made to the journalism sector, according to the Association.
He was honoured with the award at a programme organized on the 24th anniversary of the Association in Uttar Pradesh of India recently. More than 10,000 newspapers and journalists are active in the Association.
