1. Good understanding about human rights-based approach, legal framework of Nepal especially related to mental health and disability and familiarity with core International Human Rights Treaties ratified by Nepal including UNCRPD, CEDAW and CRC
2. Good understanding and/or experience of working on public health issues including mental health and disability.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation  & public relation skills in both English and Nepali
4. Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure independently as well as in a team to bring tangible results.
5. Knowledge and practice of Microsoft Office Tools including Word, PowerPoint and Excel etc.
6. Empathetic, Energetic with receptive learning attitude.

Job Description

1. Conduct in-depth analysis of programs, policies, regulations and laws related with mental health and psychosocial disability and design analytical and logical output as relevant to KOSHISH.
2. Communicate and lobby with high level government authorities and concerned stakeholders, organize events and make linkages to accelerate avenues and synergies in the sector of mental health and psychosocial disability.
3. Keep watch over latest developments in the field of mental health/psychosocial disability in Nepal and the world over in terms of laws, policies, regulations and programs.
4. Follow up on commitments from high level government authorities and other concerned stakeholders.
5. Make field visits in existing target areas of KOSHISH to collect evidence that relates to both content and context for advocacy.
6. Work towards de-stigmatization and sensitization through media mobilization.
7. Support to develop Information Education and Communication materials.
8. Prepare annual, semi-annual, periodic and event reports.

Salary for the above said post:Negotiable as per competence and experience
