Society for Nepalese Doctors of Bangladesh announces the Central Executive committee

10 April, Ktm: Society for Nepalese Doctors of Bangladesh (SNDB) announces its Working Central Executive Committee on 9th April 2021, Friday.

The Program was conducted at NMA Building, Bagbazar in the presence of special guests; Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, the former President of NMA, and Prof. Dr. Pashupati Chaudhary, Orthopedic surgeon, BPKIHS, Dharan. Both of our guests have completed their MBBS from Sylhet, Bangladesh. Dr.Jha shared his intriguing experiences in Bangladesh and wished great success to all the committee members.

Dr. Rakesh Shah, the Founder, and External Affairs Coordinator of SNDB announced Dr. Dinesh Koirala as the President of the Central Working Committee of SNDB. Dr. Koirala is working as a Pediatric Surgeon in TUTH for 3 years. Likewise Dr. Bishow Pokharel, Cardio-Thoracic & Vascular Surgeon, Dr.Lalit Kumar Das, GI & Liver Transplant Surgeon, and Dr. Rita Kumari Mahaseth, Radio-Oncologist were announced as the Vice-Presidents of the Organization. Dr.Mukesh Prasad Sah, Gastroenterologist (KIST Medical College) was announced as the General Secretary and Dr.Santosh Manandhar as the Joint Secretary. Dr. Shuva Shrestha, Gynecologist at Prasuti Maternity Hospital was announced as the Treasurer and Dr. Mithlesh Yadav as the Joint Treasurer. The responsibility for the Editor-in-Chief has been given to Dr. Amresh Karn. Likewise, Dr. Siba Thakali, Dr. Bashanta Baral, Dr. Nirajan Shah, Dr. Archana Shrestha Yadav, Dr. Ritesh Ghimire, Dr. Amrita Shrestha, Dr. Nehal Asharaf, Dr. Upashana Sharma, and Dr. Pinky Shah were announced as different coordinators of the Central Executive Committee of SNDB and were given responsibilities accordingly. Dr. Ravi Roshan Khadka, Dr. Sunil Marrick Dr. Prakash Panjiyar, Dr. Sanjeet Kumar Sah, Dr. Shirish Silwal, Dr. Sulav Karki, Dr. Sanjay Gupta was also present in the program and expressed their valuable ideas for the SNDB.

The idea of the establishment of this organization was devised 8 years back. A Facebook group and a page were created that continuously helped to bring all the Nepalese doctors on a common platform who had completed their MBBS, BDS, MD, MS & MDS from Bangladesh.

Society for Nepalese Doctors of Bangladesh now has been registered in the Office of Company Register as a non-profitable organization by Dr. Rakesh Shah.

Dr. Rakesh Shah has completed both his MBBS and MS from Bangladesh. He has specialized in Colorectal Surgery from BSMMU, Dhaka. Dr. Shah who is also the Founder and President of WNSO-Bangladesh has continuously been helping Nepalese students in Bangladesh for more than a decade now. Dr. Shah says, “It has been my dream to create a common platform for all the Nepalese doctors who have graduated from Bangladesh.” He expresses his sincere gratitude to Dr. Amresh Karn, Dr. Rajesh Shah, Dr. Sanjeet Kumar Shah, Dr. Shuva Shrestha, Dr. Sagar Lamsal, and Dr. Deepak Kumar Yadav who has helped him establish this organization.

To help fulfill the purpose of this organization, the support of all our senior and junior doctors from Bangladesh is required. We request all our doctors to join our hands and help us take SNDB to greater heights, shah says.
