3 August, Janakpurdham – Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president, Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed the confidence that the Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) will participate in the election.
Talking to journalists in Janakpurdham on Friday, he said an environment conducive for the RJP to take part in the election has been created as the Madhes issues have been gradually addressed.
In reply to a question, PM Deuba insisted that the Nepali Congress was all set to have the constitution amendment bill passed from the parliament.
He however said the CPN (UML) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) were obstructing this.
The Prime Minister urged the Janakpur denizens to extend cooperation in the construction of road and drainage that is being undertaken in their city under the Asian Development Bank project.
The Nepali Congress president also stated that his party was willing to enter into electoral alliances with the CPN (Maoist Centre) and other interested parties in the local election.
