10 Aug, Kathmandu-Home Minister Janardan Sharma on Thursday bade farewell to Nepali Muslims leaving for Mecca of Saudi Arabia as part of the Hajj pilgrimage.
Minister Sharma saw off the team moving to Mecca – the holiest shrine for Muslims – for Hajj celebrations this morning. On the occasion, Minister Sharma while handing a national flag, urged the team to make Nepal’s publicity in course of their religious trip, Minister’s secretariat says.
The team is leaving for the shrine under the leadership of Central Hajj Committee.
Total 130 Muslims of 13 districts have left for Mecca, it is learnt.
They celebrate Hajj for 43 days. According to Central Hajj Committee, as many as 1,210 Muslim Nepalese will set out for Mecca this time. RSS
