16 Dec, Jumla : Newly-elected parliamentarian from Jumla Province-1, Naresh Bhandari has said the idea of ‘seasonal capital’ has been mooted for the balanced development of the Province-6.
At a meet with journalists on Friday, parliamentarian Bhandari said that the concept of summer and winter capital has been put forward in Province-6 to bring Karnali region – which has been relegated to the backburner due to narrowed ruling thought – to the development mainstream.
“The embryo of federalism was in Karnali. It is also the origin of Khas civilization. This is the region of bottomless potentials where heaven-like Rara Lake, Foksundo, Nepal’s longest river Karnali and priceless herbal medicine Yarsa are available”, he further said.
Bhandari added the border checkpoints of Hilsa in Humla, Nakchelagna in Mugu and Dho Moranglo in Dolpa will be opened to establish link with northern China.
