21 Dec, Dhangadi : Seven people have been arrested by police on the charge of involvement in the trade of brown sugar drug, an adulterated form of narcotics, Heroin.

They were arrested in possession of 47 grams of brown sugar drug, DSP at the Area Police Office in Tikapur Tika Bahadur Karki said. Those arrested are Khagendra Giri, Bir Bahadur Chaudhary of Tikapur, Udaya Thapa of Dhangadi, Santosh Shahi, Karma Sherpa, Dipesh Tamang and Nabin Lama of Kathmandu.
They were arrested from Tikapur and Kailali as they were making an effort to send the banned substance to Kathmandu, which was smuggled from neighbouring India. The drug peddlers were arrested three days ago and made public on Wednesday.
