BCCI considering IPL cricket in overseas between Corona; Awaiting decision on T20 World Cup

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is discussing several options for holding the Indian Premier League (IPL). According to sources, this time if all the possibilities of IPL are over, the BCCI can also conduct this tournament abroad. However, this would be just the last decision.

The IPL was scheduled to begin on March 29 this year, but the tournament has been postponed indefinitely due to coronovirus and lockdown. Recently, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said that if the IPL is canceled, then there will be a loss of about 4 thousand crores.

“The board is looking at all options,” a BCCI source told the agency. This can be done if it comes to getting the IPL out. Even before the IPL matches have been dropped. So there will be no problem. ”Currently, the BCCI is waiting for the ICC’s decision on the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November this year, which is to come on 10 June.

So far, the IPL has been forced out of India due to the Lok Sabha elections twice. In 2009, the IPL was hosted by South Africa. The tournament then ran for 5 weeks and 2 days. In 2014, the tournament matches were played in India and UAE.
