28  Sept,Biratnagar: Minister for Urban Development, Arjun Narsingh KC, said the government was holding discussions with the political parties for amending the constitution soon.
Speaking to journalists here, Minister KC shared that the government has already made preparations for amending the constitution before the Dashain with an agreement among the parties.
Amendment is necessary for addressing the demands of the disgruntled sides to make the constitution acceptable for all, Minister KC said, adding that the government is serious towards addressing the demands of the Madhesi community and the indigenous nationalities.
“The Madhesi Front must exercise patience as the government has already started the process of constitution’s amendment,” he said.
He also added that the government remained committed to holding the three-tier elections. “There will be a constitutional crisis if elections are not held, so the elections will be held within Magh, 2074 BS,” he shared. RSS
