Aug 3. Australian opening batsman, David Warner is widely known for his explosive batting. He likes to take bowlers to the cleaners. Apart from punishing the bowling attack, Warner is also popular for engaging in social media banters. The ‘pocket dynamite’ more often than not tickles fans’ funny bone with his humour and epic comebacks on social media.
He took a hilarious jibe on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise – when a fan claimed that RCB could win the upcoming season of IPL.
It all happened when Warner shared a picture of the IPL trophy on his Instagram handle. He captioned the photo with a question to his fans, asking them to drop thoughts on who would lift the title of IPL 2020.
Fan picked RCB as the winners of IPL 2020, but that grabbed the attention of Warner, and the Aussie didn’t miss the opportunity to take a humorous dig at the Bangalore-based franchise. The southpaw asked the fan if he ‘really’ believes that RCB can win the title.
After ICC decided to cancel T20 World Cup 2020, BCCI announced to organise IPL in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which will begin from September 19.
